If you’re new here, Story Work is the name of my current book-in-progress. It describes a process of reflecting, reclaiming, and reimagining the stories of our lives. It involves looking at your life experiences as creative material that you have the power to shape.

The weekly story work topics cover universal life themes with references from literature, philosophy, science, and spirituality; offering perspectives that spark ideas for personal growth and creative expression.

Do you believe that it’s your duty as a human being to seek out inspiration and be creative? Reflecting on this question I thought of my Baptist upbringing and how I was raised to praise God without ceasing and to count my blessings. Many years and spiritual evolutions later, I approach my creative practice as a form of worship, a duty that steadies me in gratitude. I do feel a sense of duty to honor my divine instincts and give birth to the work that wants to come through me.
