creative courage writing intensive
We are about halfway through the year, and many of us are taking stock of where we are with our goals and intentions for the year. Life throws curveballs, that’s for sure, and I believe in setting goals while being open to detours and adjustments along the way. In my world, everything is an experiment, an adventure. And this perspective allows me to make progress without becoming too rigid about specific results. Commitment and devotion are what’s most important to me when it comes to my creative work.
So if one of your goals this year is deepen your commitment to your creative work, what does that mean to you?
“I want to prioritize my creativity” can also mean:
I want to heal.
I want to open my heart and mind.
I want to calm my nervous system.
I want to express my repressed emotions.
I want to make my authentic self more visible.
I want to serve, help, connect, contribute to the world in my own unique way.
Think about your creative callings and desires. Do you understand why you want them, why they persist? If you have a desire to write, share your story, or make room for more creative expression in your life, what's at the root of it? Following this train of thought can lead you to a fertile starting point and build a reliable commitment.
It’s never too late and it’s never too soon to start. There’s no perfect time.
Whatever callings you have, pursuing them will enrich your life, no matter what season you’re in.
In my workshops and coaching programs, I take my clients through the process of clarifying the authentic needs and intrinsic motivations behind their creative callings. With these needs as a foundation, you can feel safe to find growth in the experimentation, as you discover the creative process that supports you right where you are.
If you have a creative calling, you can’t skip building your courage and vulnerability muscles. The self-discovery work allows you to get clear on why you want to tell your story (or make your art or express yourself in that new way) and learning the creative process helps you build the courage and resilience to do it.
If you are seeking guidance and community to do this work, The Creative Courage Writing Intensive is my signature offering that lays the foundation for how I coach, mentor, and of course, navigate my own creative journey. The summer cohort runs from June 13 - August 22.
There are two spots left and registration closes tonight.
I’m passionate about this and am so thankful to share this work with you. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
